  1. Should work ok.

Ive used a Ibanez EX360 with a dimazio humbucker installed at the bridge with a Marshall 8080 valvestate combo for around 12 years and I think it sounds great. the dimazio is one of the models with ceramic magnets. The single coils are standard and work well for more mellow bluesy stuff or clean playing.

Honestly though if the guitar is capable of producing a great sound it will sound good with most amps, regardless of brand. The tone of sound will vary acording to the amp to a fair degree. Small amp (trebley sound) Large amp with 12in speaker or quad box (full range sound).

Most cheap guitars (in particular ones with the pickups mounted to a scratch plate) will have a thin boxy sound. I learnt this the hard way and even tried pickup changes to sort it out but nothing worked.

An amp can only amplify what goes in to it and no amount of effects will change a crappy sound.

The Combination you have chosen should work ok. The Guitar is equiped with humbuckers which should sound good with distortion and have a thick  rich sound even though they are mounted in a scratch plate.

    Should be ok for starters.

Make sure you have an experienced player choose your axe. Low action and good intonation are preferable.
