  1. ONLY if it has the signiture to that particular version of Keylogger.

    If the hacker has full control over the system, he could also make the AV NOT scan that particular folder.

    Additionally, there are hardware keyloggers that would not be detectected by AV scans.

    Using http://wiki.castlecops.com/Malware_Remov... (especially the HiJackThis portion) will help idenitfy software applications running on your system and allow you to determine if you need them or not.


  2. Sometimes they will but not always.. The best way to find a keystroke counter is to look into all the processes running on your system and check them for any strange ones you can not identify. Just search oh yahoo each process and make sure it is something that is supposed to be running on your computer.
