  1. Yup my boyfriend just got his  and they do not want anything on your record at all.

  2. Depending on which state you are in, the assault situation, time between the assault and application, and the wording on the court documents, the answer is NO!  If it is a recent situation, repeat offense, assault with a weapon, alcohol or drugs involved, then it will be a yes! Outside of the aforementioned situations, most states will not deny a license.

When you apply for an insurance company appointment, disclose this up front and send an explanation. Some of the companies will deny appointment, but that doesn't mean you can't get appointed with the major companies. Most companies use a points system to determine appointments. A misdemeanor assault doesn't place you over the acceptable amount of points that are allowed by most companies. Most people are going to have something on either a police report, credit report, etc. Insurance companies need sales reps to survive, so they have allowance. Some companies have smaller sales forces due to their tight standards, but aggressive companies know that "life happens" to good people too.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Possiblybecause you might have trouble being bonded

  4. Financial services is a very competitive industry.  If you have anything in your background that might creep up on you or the company and could tarnish the reputation of either it's not likely they will hire you.  That being said, every company is a little different...might depend on how long ago it was or something.
