Will an opk read pos. or neg. if you take it the day you ovulate?

I took one yesterday, had ewcm, it was pretty close to a positive.. then today it is neg. again but i still have ewcm.. does that mean my ovulation was delayed or is it normal to drop so fast without getting a full positive?? this testing stuff is hard.. need help

The day you ovulate, it should read a positive.  I used the monitor it would say peak.  I prefer the monitor cuz its digital and easier to read.  I would just keep testing, maybe it's delayed.  I nkow with my monitor, I had two peak days in a row.

It could read positive on the day you ovulate, but then an OPK picks up your LH surge, so it should pick it up a couple of days before.  This month, mine only picked it up for one day.  Normally mine shows a faint line a day before and a day after, but this time it was different.  I would still baby dance today just to make sure that you catch it.  You probably ovulated today since you still have EWCM.  It should dry up pretty quickly after today if you did.  Good luck to you!
