  1. If you mean the amplifier that goes up on the antenna mast, then yes.

At that point, you're still dealing with RF signals. Those are identical between analog and digital (same frequencies). When you get into the content of the signal, things are very different, but the antenna has nothing to do with that. It just grabs as much signal out of the air as possible.

By the way, you should place the signal amplifier, actually a pre-amplifier, as close to the antenna as possible, where the signal is cleanest, before it can pick up noise on the downlead.

The Channel Master CM7777 is widely considered one of the best antenna pre-amps with very low noise.

  2. (This answer assumes you are located in North America)

If you mean an antenna pre-amp or cable distribution amp, then yes it will work the same on digital TV signals as it does on analog.

As far things like antennas, RF cables, and RF amplifiers are concerned, analog and digital TV signals are pretty much the same. It's only when you get to the part of a TV that decodes the video & sound information that's encoded/modulated  in the signal that the circuitry is radically different.

  3. nope, in fact, it will prevent the digital signal from reaching it's destination.
