  1. the middle weight division doesn't have enough solid competition for silva, but the light heavy weight does for sure. i see him beatin irvin, but that fight will tell alot on how good he really is and how good he will do beacuse irvin is a pretty good test for him.

  2. look at Wanderlei Silva at LHW. Him and Anderson have allmost the exact same style. BJJ black belts deadly on the ground but love to stand up and bang. I see Anderson Silva doing as well as Wanderlei Silva but beating Chuck(Im a Wandy fan so Im using the excuse "It's because of the cage"for his loss to Chuck). Think about it though Wandy walks around at 210, Anderson at 215. He's used to cutting 30 pounds 10 pounds is nothnig. He'll fell great before the fight and be at 100% strength compared to maybe 85-90 most people are at. I see him getting the title by mid to late 09 but not running the division like he does MW.

  3. He won't run the show in LHW like he does in MW, theres too many people that pose a huge threat to his style, like Rampage or Wanderlei.

  4. I'm sorry, but this is not boxing, weight classes are 20lbs apart in mma. If anything, he should move down to welterweight and dominate there. Other than that, I'd say he should stay at middleweight and cement his legacy as the best middleweight fighter of all time. When I first read he was moving up to light heavy, I shook my head in disappointment.

  5. i think you make a good point about bigger guys set on taking him down.

its a big jump in weight.  he will be fighting guys that walk around at 230 or so before pulling downto 205 for fight time.

it makes a huge difference, especially in the grappling.  if he gets in with someone content with takedowns and control that is naturally a lot bigger and stronger than him, i could see him losing to someone that he should beat on paper.

the weight classes are there for a reason.  i admire his courage and i hope he does well but if you froced me to bet, i would say his chances of becoming a champ are slim at 205.

  6. I don't think so at all. He's dominant at MW, he'll always have that, and that's how UFC/MMA fans will remember him.

I just think that the LHWs are just too big for him. It's going to be funny to see the Spider at 205, but he won't have the same reign.

I think the biggest fight of his LHW jump will probably be Chuck, next year probably. He will not see title contention in the LHW.

Hendo vs. Spider II at LHW would be interesting. I think Hendo takes that one with a decision.

  7. i don;t think h**l beat rampage but he will be a top contender

  8. I think Silva would definitely kick some *** in the lhw division. Guys like Bisping, Liddell, and Wanderlei wouldn't stand a chance, in my opinion. I'd love to see a Silva v.s. Jackson match!
