  1. I sense that they won't get him.

Even though for this year if they could do a straight-up Texieria for Kotchman deal, with no picthers included, it would improve the offense a lot.

(Texiera now with 19 hr, .887 OPS 63 bb, Kotchman 9 hr, .764 OPS, 18 bb) It would improve both the power, and more importantly, the paitience of the team. Also the Big A is a better hitting park than the Ted.

  2. no, kotchman is one of the best defensive first baseman in the league and a pretty good hitter.  they wouldn't replace him with texiera considering what they would have to give up to get him

  3. No they have a great line up.

  4. ther not gonna get him because they dont want to give anybody up.but they have a good chance of making it to the world series.especially after the sweep of boston.a ton of confidence come playoff time

  5. Picking up Mark Texiara would be a great move for the Angels, and would tremendously boost their offense and defense.  If Texiara goes to the Angels, they will be the clear front runner for the World Series.

  6. They definitely need some more power in their lineup that's for sure.. yes occassionally like for example last night they put up 10+ runs but it seems every night they are winning by 1 or 2 runs which is why K-Rod is racking up so many saves... and there really isn't anything wrong with this.

In saying that.. I don't think they will pursue Teixeria because he's getting overpayed in Atlanta and in return Atlanta will want too much for him. I would not say that Teixeria is necessarily overrated.. he has never been hailed as an amazing player but he is consistent. It would definitely I think be a benefit for the Angels to get him but I just don't think it's going to happen.

And as far as their chances to get to the WS... I think that it's a reasonable task for them. Their division is the weakest in the AL so it's a shoo in for them to make the playoffs.. but as far as standing up the the other 3 teams that are going to represent the AL I don't think that they Angels can win a 7 game series out of any of the other teams that will be there. So i'd say they are not going to be in the fall classic.

  7. i dont think the angels will get mark teixiera,

but i think that they can get to the world series, or atleast get to the playoffs without him

  8. There is a slight chance of them getting Texiera but I dont think so because I think that the Braves will ask for too much for just a .275 hitter

They have a great chance to get to the Fall Classic if their pitching can stay healthy

  9. Texieria is not overrated. He's a second half player. All of his career he's had monster numbers in the second half. If the Angels get him it puts them on top of the A.L. and MLB. I think the Angels are already good enough to win it all, but that trade could put them over the top...

Also the Braves are not getting rid of him cause he's overrated, when Teixera came to the braves last season he had two years left on his contract. The Braves have been negotiating all year with his agent, but have been unable to sign him to a longer deal. If the Braves don't trade him, he is a free agent at the end of the year and the Braves would get nothing for him. It's a trade or sign situation.

  10. The braves aren't gonna trade teixiera, they have already told him they won't so HA.

  11. myself i think the Angels are the team to beat in the AL...the White and Red Sox arent going....and i am afraid the Yukees are on the rise...in the NL its up for grabs..Cubs maybe...but they are unsteady....the NL west will end up below 500 and Mets and Phillies will end up just above 500

  12. they have a possability but i think they can pull it off

  13. angels will never get there. They will never be able to be the white sox! sox rule!

  14. If they do or don't get Texeria he is overrated and thats why Atlanta is getting rid of him after only a few years.
