  1. yes, human or not

  2. In a thousand years, they'll look over the solid waste practices.  What we put in landfills, how we screwed up the water supply with mercury, the literally tons of styrofoam dishes and other plastics, and they'll observe with dismay the radioactive and other toxic trash.  With their hand held fusion reactors, they will thank us for leaving such a huge supply of partially decayed garbage that they will have on hand, for producing the high energy output that these machines can process and redirect to fuel a flying car.  {k_ooool}

  3. Iff someone takes the digits off of YA server or a backup thereof, AND etch it in stone, sure they would. It wouldn't even have to be human; an alien highschool antropology workshop over the summer is actually digging up a site right where YA headquarters used to be a mil yrs ago; they are going to find out who posted obscene jokes and silly comments. So posters beware; your notoriety might spread over multiple galaxies. HOH

  4. If there's still a way to access the information...

  5. Sure, if the human race can survived the next 1000 years.

  6. Possibly, if they have a way to -- among other things; other websites; other artifacts (if they could play our DVDs and CDs for instance).

    There are probably sociologists using it now. If not, some sociology students could base their dissertations on analysis of what goes on here.

    When I was in college (and later worked) at Sonoma State University, they put butcher paper up in all the bathroom stalls for people to write graffiti. Rumor had it that every so often, psych and sociology students would collect them and analyze them as class projects.

    It was pretty interesting.

  7. They don't have to wait a 1000 years. When I took anthro I had to read a study that had been done on current day people in Washington DC.
