  1. his stance has changed. so It does not really matter anymore.

  2. Well the UFC has changed a lot from the rule less spectacle it was and become a real sport, Dana White says he thanks McCain for helping bring that about. McCain has also changed his view on the UFC and mma and agrees that they have done what needed to be done to make it a real and legit sport.

Besides I can think of a great deal more important issues to base my vote on then what someone thinks about a sport.

  3. Considering all of the issues, I think a candidate's stance on UFC is pretty far down the priority list.  I'm more concerned with things like economic and national security policies, not policies on a third tier sport.

  4. Yes, McCain, is a much better choice then what Obama will bring to the table.

Our country is in shambles, and Obama will make it worse economically for makig all Americans purchase a health plan that is not affordable.

    for starters

  5. i dint base my votes on sports sorry

  6. Years ago when he first showed his hypocrisy regarding MMA I took notice.  He stated that in comparison boxing was not nearly as dangerous.  What a douchebag thing to say.  Then I figured out that here isa  guy who, from his position of authority, will mouth off and potentially affect the lives and livelyhoods of others without knowing what the h**l he is talking about.  And why?  All to protect the special interests of a few, which of course were the boxing promoters at that time.  Typical politician and nothing special.   Not that Obama is any better but I'll neer vote for McCain.

  7. As a registered "Republican" I did have a major problem with McCain's stance of MMA sports as far as it being a "wedge issue" issue that is.  I think as McCain gets to meet more and  more coporate heads after his win Novemeber that the UFC and other such orgs. we'll see a tee total change of heart once that coporate money meets his hand.  I wouldn't consider any one else for office especially after "my candidate" Fred Thompson" ran such a crappy preliminary race.  McCain's better than http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?f... <---this piece of sh*t any day.

We may have lost the "G" in G.O.P. when we lost Thompson, but McCain should roll over ( like a steam roller ) the likes of "Biden"? ..... for running mate? ..... that was "political suicide" even the common liberal "reprobate" heathen would have to agree.

  8. his stance was on MMA when is wasnt regulated like 8 years ago...back then they had no weight classes, you could headbutt, stomp, kick a downed opponent, hit to the groin, etc...the rules are governed now and the sport is a lot more structured so his stance is much different.

  9. it would be the dumbest thing ever.

You're suposed to think about much more important stuff to decide who to vote for.

  10. Our political system is broken beyond repair if people are voting for the President of the United States based soley on whether or not he approves of MMA!

I always think it's funny when any politician takes a "stance" on anything - you know in 5 days his "stance" is probably going to change drastically based on who pays him to change his "stance" on the issue.

  11. well i know he was an opponent of it when there were no/minimal rules.  now that there are rules i dont know what his stance is on it? i would love to see the ufc go back to no rules though.  and i dont think the government has any right regulating people who want to fight in any way whatsoever.  so no im not voting for john mccain.  im voting for bob barr

  12. His stance on the whole issue is different now.  I believe I heard about him even attending an event.  The sport has evolved since he first spoke about it and for the better I think, so in essence we can actually thank McCain for improving the sport that most of us love.

  13. Although it would make my list, his view of Ultimate Fighting woudn't rank in the top 100 reasons why I will not vote for John McCain.  This isn't a political discussion so I will just leave it at that.  It would be the least of my worries if he manages to get into office.
