Will any ps3 usb cable work to charge my ps3 controller?

Ps3 cna use any USB - Mini-USB cable, which come for free with Digi-cams, Mp3 palyers, external hardrives, etc.

I saw one shop selling a "PS3 compatible charger cable" for £9 ($18), which is jsut wrong, when its free in msot gadgets. jsut maybe not as long.

As long as the other side fits into the top of the controller (shown above) then it will work.

I believe the USB cable is pretty generic, you could use any similar USB cable to charge your controller.

No, i have 2 USB cables that for some reason are not bi directional and do not support USB 2.0 the cables are extremely thin also, be weary of what you buy.
