Will anyone be in Santo Domingo, DR in October?

My sister and I will be there the first two weeks haven't a clue what to do main interest is nightlife and shopping =) Open to all suggestions and Id like to know who else will be traveling in the area.

Go to EL CONDE.. theres stores and at night theres always lights and cops and stuff its safe also in EL MANECOM or sumthing like that lOl.. i went in June]] but theres a very nicee restaurant called ADRIAN TROPICAL and if u pay with ur credit card it comes out EXTREMELY CHEAP! when u get ur bill trust me i went with my dad

I wont be there - but go dancing at La Fortuna, La Guacara Taina,

  go shopping at the Calle el Conde in the downtown Colonial Zone.  I have friends that I can hook you up with who live there if you want. just email me.
