Question:

Will anyone be watching the exhibition AFL match tonight?

All it will be is a mob of men running around putting on an exhibition. They've even changed the rules to allow more interchange players. Are the players becoming too soft to run out a full game & have to keep being subbed.

I'm betting there wont be any injries as it will only be played at half pace. Now, if you want to watch a real State of Origin match - watch the next Blues -vs- Maroons next time they meet.

  1. yes iwill but afl players are real men

i love NRL with all the little fudge packers they got

after Nrl oily grecko roman wrestling is just up your and mine alley

people like us (you and me) should get discounted baby oil

    because we use so much

  2. Not me mate, I had a taste of this before the olympics in 2000- went to watch a basketball match between the aussies and the usa only to find the biggest bunch of wusses running around out there trying not to hurt themselves. (or each other) This seems to be a common theme of professional sports these days. Love the footy, but can't stand this claytons version. I can understand that the aussie rules has no avenue to highlight their talents except this and the  international games against a bigger bunch of whingers (the irish). If you are interested in a purely exhibitional game then tune in tonite -it's for you, otherwise wait until the sheep stations come out to play next week. ps, try some local games of rules, a lot more real than the 'entertainment' they play at AFLlevel. It seems the more money you earn the the bigger the princess level.

  3. I think it'll be a great game

Great players get to play along great players or against great players....what more do you want.

It's not for premiership points so I think players will throw caution or team rules to the wind and you'll see alot more creativity and flare

    .

  4. yeh

    Go the dream team!!!

  5. come on gutsy, real state of origin, it has nothing to do with state of origin, it's a game for the 150th years celebrations.

The nrl is a great when the state of origin is going, it's the only time i watch it though, and test matches, 34,000 last night, 4000 short of full, bullocks, so many empty seats at the scg, lucky to be 22,000 there. you did know the nrl copied the state of origin concept off the then VFL didn't you?

i bet you will be watching it, so you have something to pick out of it to get back on here and bag the game, the fact that league blokes can't mark (catch) the ball when it's kicked in the air never comes up though, they're all too scared not knowing where the hit is going to come from, it hits them on the head or bounces off their chest, why don't they extend the arms and mark the bloody thing.

I'll be watching it, I'm an Aussie and i watch all sports not bag the c**p out of other sports cause i want to stir up some c**p. the players available will be playing, best skills etc, i can't wait to be honest.

  6. I'll probably be watching. It'll be interesting having a Dream Team supporter and a Big V supporter under the one roof.

  7. I'll be watching it and I'll have Rogue sitting right next to me.

  8. Yeah i am right now,and they just started,Richo just took a mark...Pavlich got the footy, and he MISSED!!! 1 point....

  11. Nope......I'm gonna be running around naked at a beach party.

  12. Each to their own..

I think once they cross that white line its ON!

Our boys arent soft, the games just picked up pace and I guess theyre running around putting on an exibition because it is an exibition match!

I'll be watching AND enjoyoing it!

I think its a great idea to celebrate the 150th year of our great Australian game!

  13. Yair I suppose.

The TV will be on in our household but I dont know how much of the game I'll be watching. If Macavaney is commentating I wont be watching.

  14. No, It's pointless because it's not a real game of AFL.

  15. its on now cant wait till first bounce!

  20. Who won't be

  21. you are entitled to your oppinion of course but i dissagree with you i think it  will be great

  22. youre wrong it will be an excellent game

  23. of course i will!!!

i don't know who in their right mind won't be watching tonight's game. its a once in a lifetime chance to see the best players in the world play one of the best games in the world. i admit state of origin is good but this is something that will definitely be a better spectacle.
