Will arm and hammer whitening toothpaste ruin my permanent retainers?

because i heard regular baking soda will ruin the glue on my permanent retainers do does that mean the bakingsoda in the arm and hammer toothpaste will ruin it if so what other whitening teeth remedies do you kno so i will not ruin my retainers.

  1. I would only trust the answer of my dentist, if I were you.


  2. The baking soda in the toothpaste is less abrasive than just getting it out of a box. For this reason, I don't think it would be a problem. However, there are several other whitening pastes on the market. You could always try one of those.

  3. I would think so, especially if baking soda is in it. I would get a 100% answer by calling your dentist.
