Question:

Will avoiding demographic targeted legislation for political correctness cripple and destroy America?

If unbiased and properly administered research reveals that certain elements of society are responsible for a disproportionate amount of crimes or transgressions against society is it quite simply racist and, therefore, unacceptable to act to marginalize or remove this element?

We have asked the questions in the past on whether or not certain races are generally superior or inferior to others in their physical or mental abilities. While research was attempted and presented the results were always debunked seemingly out of political correctness alone. It seems ridiculous to me to make the blanket assumption that the only difference between races of humans is cosmetic only.

On a less subjective topic, if it is shown that illegal immigrants commit a disproportionate number of crimes per capita is it entirely unacceptable to use these findings as motivation for action against them?

Will our paralysis with political correctness further destroy the concept of an American way of life?

  1. its not racist. its just who's wielding power at the moment. if suddenly the power goes to the hands of the now "marginalized" and turns into a powerful group, politically or otherwise, it is that community that will marginalize others, just like they themselves may be being marginalized now,  crime wise or for other reasons. mind you, this is to bear in mind that the community has to come in power and not a single or even a few because if it was the latter two then they'd just side with the "now in power" and not with their, lets say biologically, closer "marginalized" group.

taking action is totally something else. its not just a political act. not even a legal act. it becomes a moral issue. and we are all humans. we make the rules for this sense of discipline. motivation is okay but "action against them" sounds like one is trying to marginalize a whole community.

generally a lot of information is being generated today, its not just govt reports, journals, academicians or researchers but bloggers, activists, and the kid next door. one really needs to look at the "if it is shown...." lots of things can be shown.. and Everything is a perspective. true and false are just too arbitrary when dealing with people cause people are subjective.

political correctness is in fact not paralyzed. there is actually an activism in politics not just in US or America but all over the world. we see this activism through the police, the army, the militia, the bodies of the government. don't think they are just lying around, immobile. of course, agreed, the general public is a bit lazy when coming to decide what goes or doesn't go in politics. they don't feel they have the power here. but there are other options open for people who want to be powerful but not political. lets say eg non governmental orgn.

the concept of an American way of life is very vague and unreal and plastic. its not destroyable really  because it is after all a concept and concepts are open and free, they are being formed constantly by people, groups, culture and other vague things a single person can't even keep a track of. so you can help in maintaining an idea of the concept, a perspective of it, but it can't be destroyed.
