Will baking soda make my shoes less smelly?

i only have one pair of sneakers and i'm in love with them but to be honest.... THEY STINK my mom told me to try baking soda to make the smell less bad but i wanna make sure it won't ruin my shoes

and i'm not gonna throw them out if you paid me 100 bucks -_-

  1. it will you can eithr sprinkle some in  or you could put some in a tissue or kitchen roll screwed up and left overnight  should help to absorb the smell ...............just in case you don't want the powder on your feet and socks


  2. Yes, it will help. Sprinkle some into your shoes and let it set for awhile before you wear them again.

    You might also try sealing them in a plastic bag and putting in the freezer.

  6. Wash them in a washmachine at your local laundry mat.. It wont ruin them or the machine, but just in case do it there. They will smell much better.

  7. actually its not baking soda its baby powder you are supposed to dump some baby powder in them shake it up and let them sit in a cold place until the inside of the shoes are very cold and you cant really see the baby powder anymore hope it helps.

  8. Yes, baking soda will help. You may be able to just throw the shoes in the washer, depending on what type they are.
