Will be hard to get back into the team says Brad Haddin – Cricket News Update
Australian wicket-keeper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Matthew-Wade-c1933 being installed as the new glove man for his side’s upcoming triangular series.
Despite http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750), the 34-year-old wicketkeeper was not amused by the axing.
Also, the axe remains for the first three ODIs where the veteran could make a possible return to the fifty over side, provided Wade fails to make most of his opportunities. However, Haddin seemed discontent with the decision, feeling that he has been dropped.
"I think anytime you're out of the Australian Cricket team you're dropped," Haddin said on the Sydney radio station 2KY. "You give another guy an opportunity to take your spot. If they do well you could find it hard to get back in the team but that's the way it is and I've just got to deal with that.
"We need to see how young Matty Wade goes at this level. It's seen as a good opportunity to play him and from my point of view, if he does well there's no guarantee you'll get your spot. Once you've given it up you give someone an opportunity and you might not play again,” added Haddin.
The selection of Wade comes after intense speculation over the future of the 34-year-old, who has been relatively poor with the bat. His glove work has also been below par in the recently concluded series against the Men In Blue where he made some high-profile blunders in the initial encounters.
However, the Aussie Head Coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mickey-Arthur-c1969 firmly points out to the leadership qualities of Haddin, which happen to be crucial to the team’s quest of regaining supremacy in Test cricket by 2013 Ashes.
For now, the player will take part in the warm up game against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, where he will captain the Prime Minister’s XI before keeping close tabs on the performance of his rival compatriot.
