Will black holes really be created when the particles collide.?

If black holes are created in the Large Haldron Collider at CERN 300 ft under the Alps near Geneva when the particles collide, can we prevent them from starting to swallow up the planet by feeding them with the worlds rubbish and waste first?

  1. The black holes are so small they simply "evaporate"

Hawking wrote something about this... go look it up

  2. planck energy is the energy needed for a particle to become a black hole.

    planck energy is 1.22 x 10^15 TeV, or 1 220 000 000 000 000 TeV.

the LHC is capable of producing protons beams of 7 TeV.

its simple math really. the LHC would have to multiply its maximum power output by over a quadrillion to create a black hole. how possible does that sound to you?

  3. this has been under construction for so long and its only just getting media attention. someone even took them to court to stop it being turned on - and lost.

not even the scientists / builders know what will happen - Scary stuff.

  4. Its all just theorys. How could anyone know for sure that black holes are created in the Large Haldron Collider at CERN 300 ft under the Alps near Geneva when the particles collide.

The world was once flat you know.

  5. How can we stop them when they only guess about them.Scientists are

trying to stop this in the courts. We want to hope they can.

  6. No, that would be a really bad idea - feeding it would increase its mass. It would be like trying to put out a fire by chucking on loads of wood.

Any black holes created (which is massively unlikely, by the way) would be too small to remain viable; they would collapse almost instantly.

Dark matter, on the other hand....

  7. This is such a big thing as it will go from the coldest thing on earth about -275 to being even hotter than the sun aound 1000 dgrees. We may even create a new universe within ours hmmm is that how ours become into existence?

  8. Lets hope not... Would spoil your whole day.

  9. Really, who cares, there is nothing that will stop it from being turned on. I wouldn't take much notice of all this bad news surrounding it as you ALWAYS get doom tellers telling us that the world will end, it never does.
