Will blown Timing Chains on a Cevy Tracker 2.0L engine damage valves or pistons?

  1. YES ! And my timing sprockets lost teeth as well. You may luck out, but don't count on it. A cylinder leak down test should be performed. To see if the valve train is intact. The parts are very expensive compared to other Chevy's. And the used Tracker 2.0 is a rare find. Mine did it at 101,000 miles. I am looking at a $2000 repair. Ouch, Otto.
