Will boiling water kill a poisonous snake nest?

I found a small nest of snakes and ID'd them. I don't want to use Snake-a-way. I will use that to ring the house after these and "Dead-B-Gone"!!

  1. Just have a professional come and relocate them. No need to kill them. They obviously aren't bothering you aside from your own mental anguish over their existence.

    Instead of killing them out of fear and ignorance, why not just remove their hiding spots near the house?

    If you live near habitat, you will have snakes.

    Snake repellents don't work.

  4. You better check the laws in your state. It is illegal to kill snakes in some states, like in Arkansas where I live.

  5. If you leave them alone they won't bother you.  Snakes don't hunt people down just to bite them.

    Use some hot greese or hot tar and they will die then...but then ull have this llump of tar to deal withlol

  7. the hot water wont kill them it will make them really mad and then you will have a much bigger problem on your hands.  with it being venomous snakes i wouldn't do anything to make the snakes move...the snakes might move in the wrong direction -- toward the house.  you dont want that.  if you have a locally owned pet shop in or near town call them...they might LOVE to have the snakes i know the pet shop we used to live near would have come and taken them away for nothing as long as they could keep the snakes.  if the pet shop isnt an option then call animal control...they should take care of the snakes for you.

  8. Call Animal Control and they'll come and take care of it for you.  Or call 311 and ask them what to do. Let someone who knows how to handel snakes take care of it for you, that what they are there for.

  10. No, call an exterminator. Boiling water will just make them mad. It'll fill up the nest for a bit, yes, but snakes can hold their breath for a very long time, so it won't drown them.

  11. Hot water will probally kill them but i have killed a snake by pouring gas on it and it seemed to work pretty good. The problem with that is that its expensive. I would try the boiling water and that will either kill the snakes, burn them and they die later, or they get really mad and come out of the hole and you get them when they come out
