  1. yes

  2. both

  3. While I don't think MMA is that great, it's definitely better than Boxing. Do MMA. Of course there's no "best" martial art, but MMA has a bit more to it than Boxing. Mix it up a bit.

  4. well you should really take kickboxing over boxing.

kickboxing is just boxing but with added kicks.

like in a street fight the rule of punching wont matter so they start kicking and etc when up close so if u take kickboxing thatll pretty much cover anything else.

  5. Boxing is an excellent way to defend yourself and its even better as a supplement to any fighting skills you have already.

MMa is probably the best in rounding out your fighting skills. But boxing is a good stregth to have. Some mma fighters just box but know enough of everytthing else to keep the fight a boxing match.

Boxing has great shutdown potential. You can throw, accurate ko power punches faster than the same kind of kicks and you dont risk losing your balance.

I suggest u take mma if your new to martial arts. They'll teach you everything and hten you candecide for yourslef what profile you fit in mma fighting. Eg. U like going for submissions, like sprawl and brawl, like clinch fighting, like ground and pound, etc.

If you decide you like sprawl and brawl. That is to keep the fight standing and avoid it goign to the ground you'll find boxing is an excellent element to add to you game.

I hope this helps and good luck.

    please rate and thanks

  6. Both help. Most MMA practitioners take boxing independently, or as a supplement to their MMA training. Or Muay Thai. Or both.

  7. Yes, definitely. You would learn how to throw punches and combinations. You would learn how to defend against punches as well. It will help with MMA as a lot of fighters rely on boxing as their striking base. If you take Muay Thai as well then you'll be fine because you get all the tools you would get from boxing except you would also get the use of your elbows, knees, and legs as weapons. It just helps diversify your arsenal.
