I heard a rumor going around that boys will have to wear spandex in volleyball? and its starting to show its meaning. Just last year they made it manditiory for boys to wear spandex under their shorts. Now frekishly, they are making the shorts that go over top of them tighter and shorter every year, they are going to be the same as spandex if they keep doing this, so will boys ever have to do this? heres the shorts we got this year, youll se how they are like spandex

  1. yes most likely. Heres how i know this. When sports like baseball, football, wrestling, cycling, and competitive running were invented they did not use spandex shorts. Now they do, this is because they help performance truly, I no some people think girls wear it so guys will look at their ***, but its not. Some people think guys shouldn't wear them when playing because of their "junk", but do you hear people complaining about wrestlers, football, baseball players and cyclers junk popping out, no. This is because them sports are taken more seriously than volleyball and half the people ignore it and think girls play to win over the men. Some do do that lol but they truly do help performance and one day when volleyball becomes more popular men will have to start to wear spandex.

  2. It's fine for boys to wear spandex under their shorts to avoid chaffing or for comfort. I don't think it's fine to obsess about it though like some do here.

Boy's will never be required to wear spandex alone to play volleyball, this is due to the external sexual organs of males.

Shorts can be smaller, just like the 70s, but the shorts you linked to are for women. I did not see one pair of Men's shorts on that page. Saw them here though: http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=ht...

  3. I hope it doesn't become manditory...I use spandex (guys underarmour) but I wear them under my shorts to keep dry/more comfortable...but I would not ever get used to wearing just spandex

So really guys should stop worrying about it, I don't think it will ever happen, and before this site I have never heard of this rule before.
