is it true?

  1. Can't happen soon enough.

  2. have you seen the film 10.5 Earthquake, exactly that happens in the film, in 10.5 Apocolypse it's even worse, the whole US splits in 2

  3. The portion of California on the Pacific Plate is moving north at a few centimeters a years.  It will not break off in 2010.  That is nearly impossible.  It will take millions of years.  It is a strike slip fault at the San Andreas Fault which basically means one plate is rubbing against each other and moving relatively sideways rather than up and down.

  4. It is already half cracked and moving North to Seattle!

  5. Oh yes, even the Penguin wanted it to break off.  But Batman stopped it.

  6. yes, California is probally gonna break off in a few 100 years

  7. no California will not break off and if predicted 9-11 were was he on 9-10

  8. no...

Geologic evidence actually shows that the pacific plate is moving under the american plate, which esentially causes any little islands in the pacific to get pressed into the american mainland.  They have found areas on the coast where the rocks were similar to hawaii's, indicating that it was once a volcanic island, and the only way it can be there at the coast is because it slowly crashed into the land because of the plates moving.

So briefly,  No, california is actually getting squished farther up against the mainland as time goes on.  The faults in cali move against one another, not away from eachother.

  9. I sure hope so. Maybe Mexico would take it.

  10. No, there is evidence that it wont break off,
