  1. that's a good one.

  2. no camera phones cannot deliver image quality like slr cameras.slr system will always remain miles ahead than phone or other digital compacts cameras

  3. Never, you are going to need a pretty big Phone to deliver the same quality and performance as a Digital Camera.

Well maybe not never, maybe in like 50 years when technology is more up there..

  4. In a word, NO.

The sensor for a camera phone for the most part is going to be incredibly miniscule as to keep the size of the phone down.  This causes a NOTABLE decrease in quality, not to mention lack of control.

Trying to cram that many pixels onto something so small is going to make the camera borderline useless in low light, and as an added detrement, there will be no control over depth of field.  The lens is very close to the sensor, leading to very deep depth in field.  Ever notice that camera phones don't need to focus?  That's because they don't NEED to focus because of the insane depth of field they have.

This is completely outside of the whole "Jack of all trades/Master of none" that phones seem to be barreling towards with a reckless abandon.  In the end, there are enough people who will be unwilling to heavily sacrifice quality for a marginal increase in convenience.
