Will car insurance companies cover vandalism?

Just wanted to know if most companies cover insurance on your car when it has been vandalized?

  1. yes, If you reported it to the police and if you have comprehensive coverage.  Any deductible you may have will apply


  2. Yes if you have a police report and full coverage on your vehicle.Your deductable will  be charged to you,but the insurance company will cover the rest.

  5. If you carry Comprehensive (sometimes abbreviated as FTC) coverage, then yes, vandalism is covered. You probably carry a deductible that you would be responsible for. Most people carry a $250 - $500 deductible. Your policy or your renewal bill will tell you.

    However if something is stolen from your vehicle, that would actually be covered by your Homeowner's or Renter's insurance.

  6. vandalism is normally not covered on basic insurance, but you can always get it added on. Your premium will cost you more monthly, but is well worth it if your stuff is stolen.
