Question:

Will changing my own brake pads void my warranty?

my boyfriend can change them, instead of paying someone $155 to do them but I want to make sure it wouldn't void a warranty. I know if you modify a car it voids it unless the dealer does it but I wasn't sure about brakes.

  1. Changing your brake pads will not void warranty.Brakes like oil changes are maintaining your car .It is considered maintenance you are not going to modify only repair what is already on the car..
