  1. After watching Tweedle Dee (Bruce) and Tweedle Dumb (Nathan) last night at the Dubai match I don't hold out much hope.

    Thank God for Dennis.

  2. Doubt it.  Especially cause the olympics will affect to season as well this year, both are broadcast on channel 7.

  3. Noooo......if they host the Grand Final I'm not watching it.

They'd probably just cut the coverage after the siren lol

Even the Brownlow coverage was stupid..."Jimmy you won!"

lol I think he knew it already

  4. well yes, but only because it cant get any worse :P

  5. Agh!!  Don't remind me about Bruce McAvaney.  I am sure he lost his "calling" - He should have been a full on charasmatic preacher in some pulpit (far away from me I hope!).   He over does his comments big time and you would swear he was about to combust in spiritual idolisation the way he carries on.  Talk about overkill.  He has that worshipful nuance in his voice especially if something exciting just happened and I always think Oh s......t he just ruined the moment....Again!!!   I definitely preferred Channel 10's coverage.  But yeah Nathan Buckley is a true blue and non-biased with his comments.

  6. no. channel 7 is just c**p. channel 10 is the best.

  7. It better be.

I don't want my grand final ruined by crappy coverage.

Although I do love Dennis Cometti, Bruce is an idiot.

  8. in three words.

    no no no

get rid of the south australian midget and hire Jimmy Hird - something to look at, listen to and think about!

  9. No doubt Bruce Mc A-Vain-He would have statistical proof that it will be better - and some aspects will be, for example, they've hired Nathan Buckley as well. He performs well on TV - short comments but to the point, and doesn't let prejudice get in the way of a good assessment, unlike certain colleagues.

My own favourite, by the way, is the witty Mr Cometti.

Olympic coverage may get in the way: however, if the sports offered are not of interest to Aussies, perhaps Ch 7 will tape it and show it later?

  10. Only if they go HiDef cos then i can still turn down the sound (listen to the radio) and the picture will look better.

  11. if Bruce McAvaney is still commentating, then no
