but after bangalore n hyderbad start operating their new ones will they have two airports, by running the old airports?

and will b'lore n hyd airports have more passengers than chennai airport after they start operation?

Chennai will have a new, larger airport at its new industrial hub in Sriperumbudur. The Tamil Nadu government has identified 4,820.66 acres of land for the proposed airport.

The AAI would also undertake the expansion of the existing airport at Meenambakkam. About 1070 acres of land adjacent to the airport has been identified.

The Old Bangalore airport(HAL) will be closed after the new airport is opened from March 31 i believe.But the new airport is 25 kms from the city and the access roads not being ready yet.Chennai till date is considered gate way to south, but after new airports, more passengers inflow is expected in Bangalore and Hyd, and this will kind of equally distribute passenger flow among the 3 cities and ease the pressure on one city.
