Will the tablets you get for algae in your pool kill plants? My neighbor has buckets of water in his yard to water plants and we have BAD mosquitoes from it. I want to put some of the tablets in the buckets but will it kill the plants?

  1. Don't go putting chemicals in someone else's property without their permission. If you cannot convince your neighbor to dump out the buckets, I believe you should call the Health Department...there may be a local law or ordinance against allowing skeeters to breed in buckets in one's yard.

  2. If it's the mosquito larvae in the buckets of water you want to kill then pour a cap full of White Oil in there instead. The White oil will kill the mosquito larvae and is completely harmless to plants.

White oil is mostly used the kill scale, aphids, mealybug and mites but it will also kill mosquitoes and mosquito larvae
