its NOT the 60 cents, its having an extra lighter when all your other lighters have gone on mass migration somewhere!! (where DO they GO?!)

  1. BIC type lighters will work just fine after you blow the flint dry.

I know, I had a cigarette in between my lips 20 minutes after my Navy helicopter crashed into the Pacific Ocean back in 1993... VERY soothing to be in my raft and finally have a SMOKE !!

  2. They go to all the other people who are wondering what happened to theirs LOL.

  3. Let it dry naturally

  4. they work

  5. LOL let them dry - mine works fine when its been through a wash load in the pocket of my jeans!!

  6. why bother they cost 60cents - 1.00 buy a new one and if the other eventually works then you have an extra

  7. Sometimes they do. Just leave it somewhere & check it in a few days.

  8. you can make it work quicker by getting another lighter, holding the button down on the first lighter, and using the second lighter to light the first one.... then let the flame burn til the metal starts to get hot... that'll get rid of all the moisture, let it cool down (this gives suffient time for the remainder of the moisture to evaporate) and it'll work just fine..

do you smoke weed? i smoke with a few people and yet all my lighters always seem to disappear.... people forget they have 'em in their hand... h**l one time i sat my lighter down on my lap to type something went back to grab it and couldn't find it, stood up, moved my chair looked under the desk, this went on for about 30 minutes... then out of total frustration i shoved my hands in my pockets... and there it was...

  9. They work when they dry out.

  10. If you had a proper refillable lighter - not these "disposable" (another word for soon-to-be-garbage) ones - you likely wouldn't throw it away.

I bought 3 Ronson refillables for $3 at a local store, and a tube of butane for $4. It will be years before they become garbage.

  11. They usually will work after they dry out.

  12. Yeah they will work when they have dried.

  13. Yes let it dry and the flint will spark again. Like a wet match won't give a spark, but if dried out it will.
