  1. Let's see........a few years ago, the eco freaks on a mission manipulated awareness in the ag industry who started corn crops for corn based ethenal. Wow.......that didn't work as corn futures took prices off the chart and no one could afford many dairy products. Dairy farmers as an industry went ballistic, dairy feed prices tripled, milk, eggs and cheeses prices skyrocketed. Why?  It seemed at least by the eco mongers to be a good idea at that time. What's next can they mess with?

History lesson.........MTBE's, remember that costly mess eco monsters created?  Put in the fuel so we can make less greenhouse gasses.  What happened?  After billions in refining upgrades to add MTBE into unleaded gas.......STOP - HOLD YOUR HORSES!!!!! We spent billions more taking it out of the gas and retooling all refineries because MTBE was ending up in our water supplies and infecting fish.....which effected raptor wildlife.  What will they mess with next????

So much for civilized countries......at least those who social eco green agendas set the path for massive waist under an illusion of paranoia.

  2. We will always have oil....but as it gets scarecer the price will continue to rise. As it does the market will develop cheaper sources to replace it (thats the way capitalism works) At some point we will have oil but it might be as rare as gold as just as expensive but it will always be here. It just won't be the energy source of choice due to its rediculous cost. So yes the market will voluntarily create renewable energy sources....countries won't.

  3. yes that is right what that last person said

  4. Yes because one day oil will run out, the renewable sources will be more environmental friendly, it will be cheaper for people and diving into the world of renewable energy will create many jobs. So if the only outcome is good, then civilized countries will definitely develope them.

  5. Trust me buddy even if there was a breakthrough, it would be stiffled and shelved as 'non viable' or 'non panacea'..Put sensationalsim aside and realise that no oil baron or energy conglomerate CEO will ever be 'pro renewable energy'  at least not while vast fossil fuel deposits remain a goldmine worth billions of dollars. With the world switching to solar, wind or hydrogen fuel substitutes all that wealth would be worth a zilch .Human greed will most likely mean that the latter scenario in your statement is more likely

  6. I think they are not there yet. It'll take some genius breakthru by some person who will always be remembered......

  7. We won't do it until it makes a direct economic saving. It already makes indirect economic sense when you add up the cost's involved in global warming. But governments are on the whole very short sighted. So when coal and oil is so expensive that wind and solar is actually cheaper then we will see change. Sad really.

  8. depends on your defanition of Civilized

  9. many nations have, for one reason or another we don't seem to be.

  10. Wind farms and electric cars are here .Saudi and other companies buy projects that work and destroy the effort that stops the use of oil .Clean world.Look at the tonnes per square feet that people breath and we are going to run out of oxygen sooner than you think and the amazon should not be cut down or australia's forest's either.Car emission's is going to be a thing of the past.David

  12. Nope , Never, and by the way , by the time oil runs out - it would be WW3 or something of that sort. Basically the entire world reserves are good for 500 years+ @ 15% escalation per year. But you never know.....lol....cheers.

  13. The former.

Look on the internet - there are TONS of renewable projects already underway.

  14. yes we will but the other country's will not be able to afford to
