  1. chris is leaving everybody knows that but will he get traded or released.

    thats what we waiting for.

  2. During the draft, several teams offered picks for Simms and they declined the offers.  Simms was really unhappy about this and said so a few months ago.

Simms made it clear he doesn't want to sit on a bench and rot in Tampa in 2008.

Simms only showed up for compulsary training camp, not QBs and OTAs.

When it came time to make the first cut, Bruce left and Chris stayed.

When Garcia was injured, Simms got more reps at camp.  All the analysts present said he was looking pretty good...even those these reps weren't as many as Greise and McCown got.

At the Phins last week, analysts said he looked as good, or even better, than Greise and McCown.  In the stands were scouts from Dallas, NE, and Chicago.

Gruden actually complimented Simms after the game and hugged him.

Gruden really does need to cut down from 5 QBs.  Most chatter on the bucs boards are about Griese v. McCown, and who will be the backup...some think McCown will be traded.

About 10% of analysts and board fans think that Simms will be on the 53 man roster and make the cut.  Some of these fans think Simms will actually play for the Bucs this year.  Others think he will make the 53 man cut, because it will elevate his trade value to wait until a NFL QB gets hurt and then trade.

About 10% of analysts and fans think he will be cut when the team goes down to 53 men.

About 80% see him being traded prior to the cut.  If Simms wants to start, the Bears may be his best bet.  The Lions have also been rumored to be interested in him.  Also, NE and Dallas have been spotted in Tampa.  They need backups...although Jones is now saying the QB spot isn't the priority they thought it was a few weeks ago.

I don't care if Simms stays, is cut, or is traded.  I would actually like him to get a chance to start somewhere this year.  In Simms time at TB, Gruden has pretty much ignored him. TB is not a good system for growing young QBs...Gruden loves those vets.  Also, Simms would do better with the Bears and having more long ball opps.
