Question:

Will cycling tone inside of thighs?

I have been doing it for like two months consitantly (like 3 or 4 days a week for between 1-2 hours) and have noticed it totally lifted and slimmed my butt and outside and back/front of thighs. I'm really happy about that! It has also shaped my calves. Lol, well will it tone and shape my inner thighs as well? Thanks so much and God bless!

  1. Depends - do you have flat pedals or do you clip in? If the latter, then you will tone them to a certain degree as you tend to pull the pedal up on the backstroke (up) instead of just standing on the pedal during the powerstroke (down). Also, if your seat is a little low, this tends to make you use your sartorius muscles (they run down the inside of your thighs and they make you cross your legs.)

If you have a good riding position then a cycling coach will tell you to keep your knees in, this will also help to tone your inside thigh.

But the most important thing is this: If you are burning more energy than before, then you are going to tone everything as you will lose bodyfat.

  2. Well, my thighs are now as firm as a horrible loaf of bread, so I think that it will.

  3. It helps some but I believe the roundhouse kick will benefit you more.

  4. Definitely. My boyfriend (Liam) cycles a lot and his thighs are like steel!
