Will davids bridal have my dress cleaned after they do the alterations?

David's is a buy off the rack retailer, not made to order :(...yes, I will just call and ask them I guess

  1. They should.  Just give them a quick call and make sure that they WILL clean it after doing the alterations.  David's Bridal is top notch.


  2. Most likely. David's is one of those standard bridal stores. The place where I got mine said they would lightly steam it after alterations. I think thats basically standard unless you are buying your dress from somewhere obscure, like a bridal outlet.  

  3. I doubt they'll clean it.

    Bridal shops know that they are dealing in a lot of white garments and tend to try to keep the place clean.  It's not like the seamstress will be doing the alterations while weeding in the back garden so the dress is unlikely to get dirty.  You're likely to get it more dirty getting into the car to head to the church that it will in the bridal shop.

  4. Since your dress is made to order they will do whatever alterations needed and then steam it. The only time they will clean your dress is if you choose to compress it after the wedding.

  5. They just steam and press it.  Don't expect them to jump through hoops.  I regret ever purchasing my dress from them.  Awful experience.
