Will deep cut sheets fit an extra-long college dorm room mattress? ?

No, they won't.  I tried this with my son's dorm room, and no luck.  I strongly suggest getting the XL-Twin sheets, at least for the bottom sheets.  J.C. Penney has reasonably-priced sets at their online site.

No, you need to find the extra-long sheets.  The deep cut sheets don't make the sheets any longer, and when colleges say their mattresses are extra-long, they mean it.  

An extra-long AND deep cut sheet would fit just fine.
