Will detractors become eco-terrorists?

Considering the polarizing effect of the global warming issue, is it possible that detractors will attempt to prove their point by actively, and vastly, increasing their own carbon footprint?

  1. I don't plan on being stupid with resources.  But don't lie to me and say that my driving to work is causing harm to the environment, "but if I just pay a carbon tax, it'll be all right."

Which only reinforces the Bull-S*t factor it really is.

  2. I think it's ironic that the current eco-terrorists are increasing their carbon foot print by their actions (ie. the ELF wackadoodles that keep burning homes and auto dealerships in the west).

  3. The plants have recycled CO2 for millions of years  and the plants keep the C . Our present supply of fossil fuel was produced by Plant fossils. This means that the plants have already taken care of your carbon footprint. Also that we will never run out of fossil fuel.

  4. Let's hope not!  Can you imagine how unstable this country would be if they declared Martial Law to combat it??  It'd make the Patriot Act look like the Bill of Rights!

  5. Not if some of the lawsuits succeed (e.g. by Islanders against the USA for destroying their homes)... then people may start to find that their "funny" actions such as leaving their SUVs running all night become criminal acts.

  6. No, because normal rational people (i.e. your "detractors") don't do such things.  You see most people make decisions based on their own needs.  Nobody will vastly increase their carbon footprint ( a ridiculous term BTW) because it's too expensive to do so.  It's more an economic choice rather than an idealistic one.

  7. Give me liberty or give me death-something no lib will ever say.

Lib greenies want a socialist style state to decide for us.

    I say go pound sand.

  8. Notice how fast the left is to take away freedoms.  Only an idiot would leave their SUVs running all night.  You don't need a law to prevent it.  It isn't an act of terrorism, simply an act of stupidity.
