I know that Cory catfish like to school with other cories. Does that mean I could put, say, one albino cory in my tank, one Leopard cory cat, and one adolfo cory in the same tank and they would school?

  1. Of course

  2. Yea, it dosent matter. They will all school as long as they are corydoras.

  3. You may put different colors of cory together but you can only keep certain species of cory, some tend be be aggressive when they grow up. For an example, chinese algae eater is eats algae when it is juvenile, but it tend to attack other fishes when it grows bigger. Thus, try to research leopard and adolfo cory to see if they are peaceful cory at adulthood.

  4. yes, I have some albino, emerald, and peppered corys all in one tank and they are always playing together. They have been together for 3+ years.

  5. Yes, all Cory's are the same species, but different colors. Kinda like humans, there are asian humans, african american humans, white humans, but we can all be friends, just like Cory's, lol. Bottom line, they are all cory's and we are all humans! Unless you get a racist cory! Doubt that!

  6. 3 fish isn't really considered a school.  Corydoras all belong to the same genus, but are not the same species.  An albino is usually either an aeneus or paleatus species.  On the below site is a list of all known Corydoras species at that time.

Corydoras metae (Masked corydoras) is especially entertaining to watch as they will swim all over the tank in a school.  Any Cory will do best in groups of at least 6.
