We have a male central bearded dragon and are looking at a female eastern bearded dragon - were wondering if they will breed and get along even though different types?

Thanks!

  1. yes the babies will be yellow-brownish

  2. They can, but cross breeding between species is heavily frowned upon by most.

Moreso in Australia since they are native animals, and it is actually illegal to knowingly breed two different species. We have to think about the possibilites of escapees breeding with wild populations, among other things.

  3. Hey,

Yes, with patience they will breed. However, make sure that you have a big enough space and good amount of food so that no fighting will be involved.

Just a reminder- when housing more than one reptile, try to avoid housing 2 males together since they will fight for territory. Also, also have a majority of females not males, example 2 females and 1 male

    good luck!
