When the power cuts out, my landline still works. Is this the same with digital voice from the cable company or FiOS phone?

Thanks

  1. Land lines carry their own battery. On anything that is digital you still need a box at home that takes digital signal and breaks it down to analog for your home phone. When power goes out that device will also go out. So yes you will have no phone service when power goes out with FiOS. I would just get the TV and the Internet and keep your voice line copper.
