I say yes. No player will admit it, but someones is gonna get him. A dumb decision for him to play. Your thoughts?

  1. Merriman is a bigger idiot than I ever suspected.  Has the years of roids use damaged his brain?  There is no way he'll be able to play effectively with two torn ligaments.  He'll be nothing but a detriment to his team and he's risking a career ending injury.  The Charger coaching staff and owner should demand he get the surgery.

  2. There will prolly be one or two that will cause there are some jerks in the NFL can we say Haynesworth?? I remember him stomping on Gurodes face with his cleats thats just messed up, but they're out there. And I agree it's not the smartest move for him to play but that's if Turner even lets him play.

  3. Nobody is going to take him out on purpose.  He still wont make it more than 4 games though.  Its stupid because he has yet to enter his prime yet he is going to risk his career over season ending surgery and being good as new next year.

  4. of course, that is why he wont even last the year and might have his career finished...stupid decision to play

  5. It's not his knee thats hurt it's his ego...I bet this clip still haunts him...

Yeah thats a lil 5'7 running back punking him head on. I think Shawn Merry Man woke up one day, realized he looks like SInbad with a badhaircut and steroids, and realized he's scared for life thanks to Maurice Jones Drew. Steroids sure helped him that day, and yes I agree with homeboy...RObert Gallery should knock him out. It would be nice, But I think Cooer Carlisle has the bigger balls to do it. Them X Denver lineman are kinda crazy like that.

  6. I'm sure there will be a few players out there going for that knee. Like you said , they'll never admit it but it's true. The fact is though they probably won't even have to. He could very well get put out by a good clean hit on a routine play. What's going through his mind right now is that he doesn't want to let his team down or become a liability in the eyes of his coaches but he's not thinking about the long haul. Taking another good shot to that knee could end his career for good. If four doctors told me that I needed surgery and not to play football I think I would listen with my ears and brain and not my heart. Definitely a bad decision and I hope he reconsiders.

  7. I dont think you give NFL players enough credit. Sure there are bound to be a few Rominowski's out there but the majority of NFL players dont thrive on seeing their colleagues get injured. They want to win but I think they also want everyone to remain safe while doing it.

  8. I hope its the Raiders - ROBERT GALLERY - I have begun praying for this already..
