Many people have followed Nostradaumus's prediction about WW2 atomic bombs, the twin towers and coming events of humanity's future. I understand that nothing will last forever but I can't imagine the thought of armageddon and the effect it will have on our world. Three things that are guranteed in life are taxes, death and change. Could humanity create a uptopian society to live where there supposedly is a perfect political and social system, if not, what should humanity strive for? As consentient beings, what is our purpose hear if we are to live, copulate, eat and sleep through life?

  1. No, to me, a utopian society is only an unreachable goal, not a destination.  We humans will never be able to achieve perfection in any specific endeavor.  All beings, all thoughts, all experiences have a touch of uncertainty and a bit of imperfection ensconced in them.

So, instead of focusing solely on that utopian state, we should focus our attention on taking small steps toward a better world, rather than making a giant leap to nirvana.

If each of us makes a positive contribution, it will be duly recorded in the archives of human consciousness, and, indeed, will leave a mark, even if only at the quantum level.
