  1. Try spray-n-wash, spray and let set and wash as normal, repeat if neccesary, also if you get the stick kind and apply

it on fresh stains they ususally come right out in the wash.

  2. Use hydrogen peroxide.  I have used it for my stuff & both of my daughters stuff for years.  (even on old stains)

  3. Even if something has been dried in the dryer this works for me!

Put 1 to 2 cups lemon ammonia (will not bleach the item) in a five gallon bucket or your laundry sink. (Sometimes I pour a tablespoon directly on the stain and rub it in before soaking it!) Soak the stained item for twenty-four hours in the diluted ammonia. The stain should easily rub out, but if it doesn't, apply straight grease fighting dish soap. I like the bleach alternative ones that are clear. Turn the item over on a hard surface like the washing machine lid, and use a soft scrub brush on the BACK SIDE of the stain.

Some more of my favorite remedies are Formula 409, Whink Rust remover, Goop, and Spot Shot.

Mary Ellen's stain remover (see link below) also has three formulas, and I have used all three!

Mary Ellen's formulas are for colored fabrics, For those Days,(menstrual) and Whites.

    I always beat the stain!

  4. Not sure. But you could try pouring a little peroxide on it. That gets blood out. Worked on some of my clothes. As long as it's not a big stain. But the stain may be too old.

    It's worth a try.

  5. Not usually.  The rule of solutions (and therefore cleaning) is "likes dissolve likes"    Since, ummm, body fluids are water-based, they normally come out best with water cleaning.   Solvents used in dry cleaning just aren't attracted to these stains.   As mentioned above, Hydrogen Peroxide is good for blood stains.  Also a long soak in cold water, maybe with a little detergent such as Dawn, will help.
