Will eating a maggots do any harm?

Question

I have been picking blackberries with my daughter and have eaten loads untill my daughter saw what she thought was a stick on one of them and i looked harder and noticed it was a maggot,,,so the chances are - that we've both eaten quite a few of these lovely sweet juicy maggots disguised as blackberries, will this do us any harm? I feel sick!!!
