  1. That depends on whether the employer pays for your coverage or deducts it from your check. If he is paying for it himself, he is saving money now, but losing a tax deduction in the future. If he takes it from your check, then he will neither save nor lose money.

  3. Most group plans require that the employer pay at least 50% of employee premium. If the group is small, and the employee being added is older, or a younger female, this could effect the rates at renewal.
