common sense would be the first thing stopping me.... the e.d. is not the place to go for a sore throat, stubbed toe, slight cough, etc.. it is used for REAL medical emergencies- stroke, heart attack, trauma, you know, life and death stuff. the e.d.'s are full enough.

e.d.'s ARE NOT a substitute for a family doctor
