If evoloution has brought us safely this far is scientific data available to support it's ability to handle global warming hands down?

  1. What's frightening is the phenomenon known as "dry lightning" which is responsible for starting all of the 800+ fires in California, a tragedy which is unfolding right before our very eyes. It all started when 6,000 to 8,000 lightning strikes--over a 24 hour period--hit a tinder dry forest, stoking an unprecedented number of smaller fires.  During "Dry" lightning storms, the water or rain which normally accompanies a thunderstorm, evaporates before it hits the ground, so there is no rain to snuff out any fires which may have started.

    What's worse is that the combustion byproducts of all fires, water vapor and CO2, just perpetuate this vicious cycle. That's because super saturated clouds and wet soil create the perfect conditions for lightning strikes due to the electrical potential (+/-). We must not forget that water vapor and CO2 are the 2 primary byproducts of combustion of all fuels, and also of aerobic respiration (think of all the animals respiring...).

    Butane C4H10 + 6.5 O2 --> 4 CO2 + 5 H2O

    Aerobic Respiration:

    C6H12O6 + oxygen --> 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + energy (ATP)

    Write to your space agency to offload excess water to the moons and Mars by shipping clean bottled water to other globes.

    Ban cigarette smoking altogether since butane and cigarette combustion add water vapor, CO2 and smog to the atmosphere.

    Whenever possible, use electrical cooking appliances at home.

    Petition your space agency to terraform and bioform a moon for you, it doesn't just happen by itself.  A magnetic field has to be in place to protect you and your children from cosmic rays, while an atmosphere would protect you all from x-ray, gamma and uv rays.  There are over 160 moons in our solar system.

  2. Geeze, are you talking like the two are some kinda religion?

    No.  If something were to change Earth's climate so dramatically as to cause major extinctions of plants and animals then perhaps new species would evolve after the new climate stabilized.  This is highly unlikely.  Earth has experienced many dramatic shifts in climate.  The last Ice Age ended about 15000 years ago.  There appears to be no new species of higher life post that event.

    Edit:  There have been many warnings and coolings of Earth.  Life will survive.  What might change is modern mans quality of life and perhaps the survival of humans due to over population and the inability to keep all those people eating.  I see many people  are clueless about warming or cooling.  If you rely of the media to be educated about this issue you might as well consider yourself ignorant.  The real problem is too many people.  Now are you willing to help?  OK then, don't have any more babies.

  3. If global warming continues, humans, animals, plants will be wiped out.  We will not be able to survive such heat and temperatures.

  4. no, this is because the speed at which global warming is affecting us is much faster than the speed of which we will evolve, evolution takes place over hundreds of thousands of years, global warming could start effecting us sreiously within the next hundred years. Hop that helps to answer your question

  5. Your question doesn't make any sense.

    Evolution doesn't "challenge" things...it just happens.
