  1. SETI will find a signal soon, and that will start the grand delusion.

    Google/youtube: "Project Bluebeam"

'Aliens' just in time for 2012! Many will be fooled...

They are already doing fake battles:

  2. No.  Regardless of what the Vatican or the boss of any other religion says, there is nothing in any religious text, if you accept them and assume them to be true,  that precludes the existence of life on other planets

  3. There are religions out there that do worship aliens, like the raelian movement or scientology and a few other less organized cults, i personally don't believe in aliens/extraterrestrials so it wouldn't change my views.

  4. There's already an entire subculture of people who have faith that aliens exist, who are really no different than people who have faith god exists.

Just look at all the comments right here of people saying it's a 'near certainty' that alien life exists.  What evidence do they have to support that?  None, they just believe it.

  5. I'm an atheist, so what the Vatican says doesn't affect me.  However, the idea of extraterrestrial life seems to contradict the bible, which indicates that earth is the centre of all creation, and the only planet that has god's attention.  Then again, many modern Christians don't take the bible literally (something I'm thankful for), so I can see how faith and belief in extraterrestrial life can co-exist.

As for my own personal beliefs:

Given the size of our universe, or even our galaxy, I'd say that it's quite likely that there are thousands, if not millions, of planets out there that are teaming with life, and a fraction of those must harbor intelligent life.  I find it very illogical to believe that we are the only life that exists in this universe... I don't buy into the alien abduction/UFO/conspiracies/area 51 c**p, and I'm pretty certain that no alien life has ever visited our planet, but life is probably out there, somewhere.

  6. I think it would but it won't stop people from believing in the moral teachings of the religion itself such as the ten commandments and all.

  7. It has never had any effect on mine.  I believe that it is a near certainty that extraterrestrial life exists.

  8. The Vatican will say anything to keep people believing in the Christian religion. Now the Christian Church is starting to accept science because everyone else is. And if they keep saying that "Oh holy God said that the Earth shall be the center of the universe because he created it." then no one is going to believe in the religion, which takes away all of his power. He's just going to go with the flow and keep people thinking that he is always right about everything. Really he's just waiting for a good portion of mankind to catch up with science and when they do he has to endorse it or people will get to thinking, and we don't want that now do we?

  9. I don't think my religion effects my opinion. I'm Christian do believe that it is highly possible extraterrestrial life exists. We don't know for sure, but we don't know if there isn't; to say the least. Christian or not there is nothing I can do about there being another life. It's just there just like we are here- it's not like I can change that. It's a given fact of life.

  10. well im a Christian.... but to tell u the truth im not that sure..... i hav no idea and i dont think we ever will know! even tho i asked someone once and they said that it says in the bible there not true... cause he said like he created us in his own kind... and i dont think aliens are in our or His own kind.... but anyway.... even if there is.. [which i dont... welll... i dont think there is] i doubt we'll find out about unless u go to heaven and ask God urself!! lol

    evn tho i know i didny help much... H0pE I HeLpEd!! =D
