Question:

Will feminists go ballistic if I petition to have Wendy's Burgers renamed Wendell's Burgers?

Wendell's sounds like a man's burger! At the very least, shouldn't we have both Wendy's and Wendell's? Can we agree on that?

  1. Wendell's not that much more masculine sounding than Wendy's.  "Wendell" doesn't exactly bring to mind a big, fat, juicy, loaded, greasy burger.  Now, if you want a truely manly sounding burger, it should be called "Jake's Two-Fisted Burger" or "The Flaming Cattle Rustler's Special Burger", or even better yet, "The Rambo Burger".

  2. How g*y

  3. Go right ahead, you'll make someone at the company laugh, at least.

If it really bothers you to eat somewhere that has a feminine name, by all means, we're a capitalist society (mostly) -- open up a competitive joint.

  4. Wendell sounds a bit geeky, but Wayne, Wayne is a man name. I bet some men will go and have a nice man burger at Wayne's.

  5. It's named after the founder's daughter.

What about Carl's Jr.? Burger KING? MAN-wich?

  6. If it makes you feel better, Pumpkin. But you shouldn't eat that stuff. It's bad for you. Makes you very large.

  7. That's fine. I'll just get my burgers from Dairy Queen from now on.

  8. What ever, get over it!! If you men wouldn't spend so much time finding reasons to dis woman you might find out they're not as bad as somebody told you they were.Wendy's was named after HIS daughter,so I think the founder might have a problem with it!!!

  9. I think they have other things to worry about. Maybe you should consider finding something else to occupy your time also.

  10. I THINK THAT THE ONLY ONE GOING "BALLISTIC" IS PROBABLY YOU----PETITION IF YOU MUST- BUT  AREN'T THERE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT BESIDES WHAT  SOMEONE ELSE Names their burgers---BIG MAC !!!?

  11. Must be a very slow day for you.

  12. Did you get rejected at a Wendy's once? A burger is a burger and I like mine big and covered in cheese/onion/tomato (I'm 5'5" and 115 lbs btw)

  13. Wendell's  ....  Now that sounds like a MAN'S JOINT!

  14. I completely disagree.  The founder, Dave Thomas named Wendy's after his daughter (who's nickname was Wendy).  To change the name of the restaurant would completely invalidate what Dave intended.  Would you insult his family and his memory that way?

  15. Wendy used to be a boy's name... apparently.
