Will financing a mobile mean i dont qualify as a first time home buyer

I would like to get a house and out of my small trailer. Any advise on the best way to do this? Did I not qualify as a first time home buyer because of my trailer. I am single mom and need lots of help. THANKS

  1. Yes, trailers count as homes.   You are not a first time buyer.

    Don't contact the scum that will try to rip you off around here.




  2. A trailer is usually a motor vehicle.  Thus, you may qualify for first time home buyer.

  3. I owned a trailer when I was first married, and qualified as a first time home buyer when I bought a house. A mobile home is not real estate unless it is classified as such at the time of placement, which means the wheels must be off and the home must be attached to land. So, I would try contacting a lender about an FHA first home buyer program.

    I used my proceeds from the sale of my mobile home as a down payment for the house. :)
