Will first quarter's GPA be counted?

Question

i have problem with my first quarter's GPA.

i got all As but i have one B+ in the first quarter of art class.

i got As in art class during second - forth quarters too.

will the colleges count my first quarter's GPA? I heard that only ends of first and second semester will be counted.

(may be my question is confused... i came to the USA 1 years ago. i didn't even know meaning of the AP and Honors classes ^_^)

Your GPA is taken into consideration along with ACT/SAT scores, your extra curricular activities, if you have some talent that will help their sports / music programs, your class ranking, your school's ranking, if you had relatives formerly attend & are now making huge donations to the alumni fund,& if there's something really unique about you.
