If I save a powerpoint presentation from my computer onto a USB flash drive, then open it on another computer will the fonts be exactly as I had them? Even if the font I used is not available on the computer I'm opening it on?

  1. The fonts have to be on the computer you are transfering the power point to. Copy the fonts you used from C:\Windows\fonts   and move them to that same folder on the other computer. They will install automatically and you can then run your presentaion.

  2. Yes

  3. No, actually, at least not by default. You have to explicitly tell Powerpoint when saving the file to embed a font with the file for use on another computer without the font. Even then, there are restrictions:

Licensed-restricted fonts (like those you bought and installed with a serial number, or which accompanied another purchased software) will not embed.

Embedding or receiving embedded fonts do not work with Macs.

When embedding isn't used or doesn't work, Powerpoint will ask, on the destination machine, what font to use instead.

You could also copy the fonts from your Fonts folder (in the Windows folder) and install on the other machine, but again, license-restricted fonts will not copy
